<em>In vitro</em> studies on anti-diabetic, anti-bacterial and phytochemical activities of endophytic fungal extracts from <em>Salacia species</em>

In the current investigation, 474 endophytic fungi were isolated from 1200 plant parts of four species Indian traditional medicinal Salacia collected in different seasons. Among them, Fusarium oxysporum, Penicillium notatum, Pestalotiopsis sps and Phoma as a dominant genus S. chinensis, oblonga, fruticosa macrosperma respectively. Most isolates have shown potential anti-diabetic activity through alpha-amylase inhibitor at levels. metabolite extracted Colletotrichum resulted significant inhibition exhibiting IC50 values 106.11 μg/ml 124.62 against α-amylase α-glucosidase Out 68 isolates, five anti-bacterial all tested organisms dual culture method.
